Update: Eugene called me and sent the technician again to make sure the problem was fixed. I appreciate his professionalism and service is now a 5 star. Used their services last month. I paid $220 to fix a refrigerator leak, technician cleared off ice for 15 min. The fridge is still leaking. I called them on Monday morning to see what we can do and was told they will talk to the technician and call me back in the afternoon. No call back Monday. No call back Tuesday. I called Wednesday and my number was clearly screened because no answer. I called from a different number and got a call back within minutes. Then they realized it was me calling and they still haven’t gotten a hold of the e technician an to see what the can do. 4 days later and I’m still waiting. They cal you after your service is done and offer you $30 to leave them a 5 star review. So clearly their customer service is NOT a priority. I really don’t like leaving negative reviews only positive ones but people need to know to stay AWAY from this call center company that sends 3rd party technicians and don’t want to resolve issues.

Edit: After seeing my first review the company reached out, apologized for the delay and rectified the situation. I am happy with the resolution they provided. Initially a positive experience with a diagnostic visit for my fridge. But I needed to get my landlord’s authorization because the repair quote was higher than expected, so I couldn’t book the repair then and there. At least a dozen attempts on my end to schedule the repair and nothing. They don’t answer. Tried calling from a different number and they answered, said they would tell the tech to call me, only to hear nothing. Given the lack of responsiveness I would like to get a refund on the service call, but I don’t expect I could even get a hold of someone to ask…

Appliance Repair Expert customer service department reached out to address my concerns. They apologized for the technician’s behavior and poor diagnosis. They offered to refund me the full amount which we paid for the diagnosis. As a gesture of goodwill, they also gifted me a discount coupon. I appreciate their efforts to make things right and would now consider using their service again in future. ——————————————————————— “We recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with a technician from Appliance repair expert. My refrigerator was malfunctioning so we scheduled a service call. He was rude and dismissive from the beginning and conducted a hasty diagnosis. He said there was a major issue with the compressor and it is irreparable. He left saying no one can fix this issue and we should get a new refrigerator. However, when we booked another diagnostic appointment with other company they found out the problem was simply with the fan which was not able to blow air properly. After rellacing the fan our refrigerator is working great. I escalated this matter to the manager asking for refund for false diagnosis and the harassment I was met with complete silence. This lack of commitment and accountability is unacceptable.I am deeply disappointed with both the technicians unprofessional conduct and company’s failure to address my concern.”

Had a pretty good experience with Appliance Repair Expert. Called them on Friday afternoon since our 2 year old Samsung Dryer was making a grinding sound. Was able to book an appointment for Monday. The technician Kamal arrived within the scheduled time window and was knowledgable, professional and friendly. Asked me to provide him with our handheld vacuum so he can clean inside our dryer and around the work area. Spent a bit more than I had hoped, but he had parts in his van and was able to fix our dryer in the same visit within about 1.5 hrs. Would recommend their services.

Hoang Le was the technician sent to look at our older Kenmore top load washer. Hoang showed us the obvious problem and explained that our washer was too old to have the hose part in stock anywhere, being obsolete. He suggested that I try using an alternate hose part (that he left with me), rather than buying an overpriced OEM hose from eBay. A little bit of alterations and some silicon caulk, the washer is back together. Hoang was polite, honest, tidy and very helpful. He is the person you really want in your service and repair company, and I will ask for him for any future appliance repair we have need of. Thank you.

2024-08-15 called – used web form – for washing machine past extended warranty and damaged by flood that flooded all of Montreal. Appointment set for next day. Repairman very polite, efficient, very good explanation. Unit is 11 years old and likely water got onto a printed circuit. Should have left it to dry three days. Do that now and then try again. Only two printed circuits and one is no longer provided by Samsung (discontinued part) and the other is $800 installed. Better to replace than repair if drying does not work. He will call back in five days to see if that worked. $149 total charge. Astonishingly excellent service. He did note that “all my calls this week seem to be about flooded appliances”
