Update: The owner kindly reached out to me and was concerned about my experience. He offered to refund my initial charge because of what had happened and was very understanding of the situation. Very dishonest company/repair man. I got an error code on my dishwasher. The repair man, Malik, said I had to replace the control baord for my dishwasher, a $450+tax cost. After some research I found that the solution was to simply clean the filter and power cycle the dishwasher. Yes, I should have done the research first. However, the dishonesty of this company was disgusting.

I called Appliance Repair Expert to fix my dryer. The technician arrived within the timeframe promised, and went to work. As one with a mechanical background, I knew the repair work was tedious and lengthy. I had just about given up hope, because it was an old unit, and maybe better off buying a new one. This guy kept trying one method after another, not giving up, until the issue was resolved. After the work was done he put the dryer back in its proper place. All this was done within 2 hours. Chose them based on availability to come relatively quickly to check out the issue with my leaking dishwasher (others weren’t available or didn’t get back to me) and glad I went with them. They were efficient and able to fix the issue in the same visit. Not cheap but I think that was simply due to the cost of the part required. Clearly capable and efficient for this type of repair.

Booked an appointment to have my dryer checked. Got a confirmation for 5-9pm, technician called if they can come by earlier in the day and I said I can get off work an hour early to be home by 4pm. Tech did not show up for the appointment. I was expecting to have a good experience since the google review is pretty good. Will give my business to other company that will actually show up. Changing my review to 4 stars since Alex is trying to make it right for calling few times and offering a free service for future use.

Mr. Adam called on time and was terrific from start to finish. He installed our machine, taught us things about it, and even gave us laundry pointers we should have, but did not yet know, in our 40s. This ease of service was especially striking bc I had already dealt with CAS who wouldn’t deliver or send anyone until January; then Home Depot delivered but their installers refused to hook it up bc, literally, “the location is closed on three sides.” Huh? That’s why we got the Whirlpool laundry center: it’s designed for a closet. We had had a normal-sized washer there for decades. Searching around for an installer, ARE was not only the most cost-effective, but they were also the soonest, and the person on the phone was both professional and chill—best of both worlds. They even made follow-up calls to make sure everything was good.
