This refund policy describes when and how you can receive a refund.

Customers of Appliance Repair Expert who have agreed to the terms of the Terms and Conditions are bound by them, and they take precedence over any other general terms and conditions set forth herein. Before using the services of Appliance Repair Expert, please read the following terms of service. The relationship between Appliance Repair Expert (the “Company”) and the person or company (the “Customer”) named in the estimate or order for said service is governed by the terms of service listed below. These terms and conditions will be referred to as the “Agreement” between the two parties named above.

Appliance Repair Expert tries to diagnose and repair problems on the first service visit; however, it is not always possible. We are not liable for losses or damages resulting from misdiagnosis or delays in completing diagnosis or repairs. If we do not correct or remedy the problem covered by your repair, or if a replacement part fails, our sole responsibility will be to repair the problem and, if necessary, provide an additional replacement part.

In no event are we liable for indirect, consequential, or economic damages or for loss or damages to any person or property, indirect, consequential, or incidental arising from the use or inability to use the equipment to the extent such may be disclaimed by law, nor do we cover any defects which are subject to a manufacturer’s or distributor’s recall, in-home warranty, or which are covered under a manufacturer’s, distributor’s or builder’s program of reimbursement.

DIAGNOSTIC REFUND

The diagnostic fee is non-refundable. Diagnostics is a different type of home appliance service, the purpose of which is to assess the condition of your device. Due to the specifics of our business, Appliance Repair Expert performs a large number of diagnostics of household appliances every day. Many appliances are beyond repair for many reasons, such as severe wear and tear, misuse, or external causes. In order to determine whether an appliance is beyond repair or vice versa, Appliance Repair Expert offers a diagnostic service. We always inform the client that only if the client decides to have the repair done by us, we will cancel the fee for calling the technician. By ordering a diagnostic service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and we confirm your order and send a technician to you.

CANCELLATION OF THE ORDER OF PARTS

Appliance Repair Expert always adheres to the policy of quality service, so to perform services in full and repair faulty appliances, it is sometimes necessary to order spare parts. If the technician has ordered a part and you request to cancel the order, the following rules apply. Appliance Repair Expert is forced to withhold 30% of the cost of the part + $30 for shipping and handling fees. The amount for diagnostics will also be deducted from your deposit. In order to provide the best possible service, we also have to comply with the Terms and Conditions applied by the replacement part Supplier. Therefore, the fee charged in case of cancellation of the order of the spare parts covers the expenses of cancellation on our part. Please note that you can cancel your order without consequences within 15 minutes after the technician places the order. By ordering a spare part, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

REPAIRS PERFORMED MORE THAN 3 MONTHS AGO

If the repair performed by Appliance Repair Expert was completed more than 3 months ago and the warranty provided has expired, we cannot provide you with a refund in accordance with the Terms and Conditions (Warranty), which cannot exceed 3 months. To have your device diagnosed and repaired, please make a new appointment with Appliance Repair Expert.

MISDIAGNOSIS

If you believe that the diagnosis of your appliance by Appliance Repair Expert is incorrect and may not be true, please keep the receipt issued by our representative. Also, to confirm the incorrect diagnosis, please provide an invoice from another company that diagnosed your appliance and found a completely different problem than we did. This can help you demonstrate the mistakes made during the first diagnosis made by Appliance Repair Expert and support your claim. In addition, if you have replaced any components after the diagnosis performed by Appliance Repair Expert, please keep the receipt. After verifying all the information provided and confirming the misdiagnosis on our part, we will start the refund procedure.

LABOUR REFUND

Appliance Repair Expert takes a flexible approach to each client and does everything possible to fulfill it. After completing the repair, including installing the ordered parts, if it is necessary to continue the restoration, the technician always conducts a test to confirm the operability of the repaired device. Once the customer and the technician confirmed that the device is in proper working order, the repair is considered complete, invoiced, and the warranty is immediately issued. Therefore, we cannot refund the labor costs after the repair has been confirmed to be completed. If the repaired device shows signs of a malfunction after the repair is completed, the Warranty will come into effect.

REJECTION OF WARRANTY VISIT

After the repair is completed, Appliance Repair Expert issues a 3-month warranty in case the problem reoccurs. A customer might refuse to apply the provided warranty if they discover a new or the same problem with the appliance. In this case, we cannot refund the costs of labour, installed new parts, or any other costs, as we will not be able to verify the nature of the problem and whether it was caused by an incorrect repair or a completely different problem that is not related to the original one.

UNAVAILABLE PARTS OR NON-REPAIRABLE EQUIPMENT

Appliance Repair Expert tries to locate a replacement part or an appropriate substitute as quickly as reasonably possible, but limited availability of certain parts may result in delays from time to time. In the event that a part is no longer available or we cannot obtain it at a commercially reasonable cost, we will not be liable for replacing the equipment.

VIOLATION OF TERMS

When possible, the Company will make contact with the Customer by phone or email before taking any action if the Customer violates any of these conditions. However, in these situations, the Company will take whatever steps are required to serve its best interests, even if such steps call for immediately suspending or terminating the Customer’s services.
