Why Does the F25 Error Code Appear On Your Whirlpool Washing Machine?

This is one of the most common error codes for Whirlpool washing machines and indicates a problem with the drive motor tachometer. It means that the electrical system cannot accurately detect the rotational speed, so the washing machine stops working.

Furthermore, there might be a fault with the signal disappearing between the mainboard and the engine control unit.

How To Reset The F25 On Your Own?

The system will come to a full halt if the tachometer fails. You need to perform several actions to make the F25 error disappear.

1. Disconnect the device for 5-10 minutes. Connect it to the power source again. Consequently, the washer will reboot, and the F25 will be reset.
2. Examine the connections’ contacts. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). Straighten them out if they’re twisted, bent, or out of the groove, then firmly insert them into the socket. This should be done on both ends of the wire jumpers.

How To Examine The Tachometer?

2. Remove the front panel by removing the screws;
