The technician was very respectful of our home; conducted his review of the noise in our washing machine; checked the dryer (it was fine); gave us his oral report and departed. My problem was with his oral report as I am an 82 year old senior who is hard of hearing, That, added to his accent left me very confused as to his recommendations. technician came – charged $140 and made a wrong diagnosis – he said the drain pump needs to be replaced on our dishwasher and wanted to charge $370 for a 1/2 hour job and a pump what is sold on Amazon for $35. We paid and he left. We checked ourself and it is not the pump. The company apologized and promised a full refund. I am impressed. Great service.

I washed my 20 year-old bathroom mat without thinking about the thin rotten rubber backing. The backing broke into bits and pieces and choked the washer’s drain pump. I phoned in the late evening, and the technician from Appliance Repair Expert came on time the next morning. He knew exactly what the problem was, and fixed it . He then ran the rinse cycle several times to flush out the remaining bits of rubber. In about an hour he gave me back my washing machine, and I don’t have to buy a new one. Now I am a bit wiser about checking the things I wash. The picture shows a small part of the mess he removed from the washer.

Edit: After seeing my first review the company reached out, apologized for the delay and rectified the situation. I am happy with the resolution they provided. Initially a positive experience with a diagnostic visit for my fridge. But I needed to get my landlord’s authorization because the repair quote was higher than expected, so I couldn’t book the repair then and there. At least a dozen attempts on my end to schedule the repair and nothing. They don’t answer. Tried calling from a different number and they answered, said they would tell the tech to call me, only to hear nothing. Given the lack of responsiveness I would like to get a refund on the service call, but I don’t expect I could even get a hold of someone to ask…

My problem with the dishwasher was quickly and accurately diagnosed by the store clerk. I can relax while doing the dishes! I’m so glad they were able to find a solution because I wasn’t expecting or expecting it.
