Same day refrigerator / freezer service from friendly serviceman who, after diagnosis (for $129) did not have the evaporator fan motor required with him. He then went to local appliance parts dealer and returned to thaw the iced fan and install motor. The “deduction” of the initial service call charge of $129 from the labour charge is not clearly indicated on invoice. The labour charge was an additional $240 for a total of $369. The fan motor was $120 (much more than on Amazon), for a total with taxes included of $532.20. I would have appreciated an estimate including labour when I booked the service and a clearer understanding of how the service call fee deduction after repairs is actually applied.

Nico came out to check why we had lost the ability to use our Samsung gas range programming screen. We had 2 EPCOR power failures in the previous days & that seemed to blow the circuitry. We had done everything — breakers, unplugging the unit — nothing solved our issue. Nico walked in the door, listened to our issue, walked to the range & the screen came to life!! I figure either Nico is magical or that our range was deathly afraid of having surgery on it’s screen — but Nico solved our screen trouble immediately. I’ve had multiple issues with my washing machine over the years and have used several different repair companies. In my experience, most send a technician for an initial assessment but aren’t prepared to complete the repair that same day, or they have difficulty fully assessing a stacked washer/dryer unit. I was very impressed with this company. They sent two technicians, who quickly diagnosed the problem and completed as much of the repair as possible during the first visit. When a replacement part was needed that they didn’t have on hand, they returned just a day and a half later to finish the job. The entire process was efficient, professional, and hassle-free. Given my washing machine’s track record, I’m sure I’ll need another repair at some point – and this will definitely be the first company I call! 😂

On May 2 x4 weekend 2026 our washing machine broke down. I called appliance repair for a service call. To my surprise, they said they could have somebody come out and look at it on Sunday. The technician showed up on Sunday turns out the washing machine pump needed to be replaced. The technician said if I agree, he can order the pump and he’ll be in the next day to fix it. Well, the next day was a Monday. I think I asked him two or three times are you sure you’re gonna be back Monday. He said Yep not to worry. I’ll be back in Monday afternoon. Sure enough he showed up Monday afternoon to replace the pump and the washing machine is working fine. The technician was very polite cleaned up after himself and we were very happy. The serviceman was polite, arrived on schedule, and got the fridge working. However, I encountered an unexpected problem during the service visit: the cost was much higher than I expected. I was told on the phone that the call-out fee would be used to offset the cost of the repair. Instead, I found out when the serviceman arrived that the cost of repairing my fridge – the labour portion – was a fixed fee, and parts were extra. It may have been a misunderstanding on my part, or due to an insufficient explanation from the person who provided me with an explanation of the cost of a service visit. The best part of the service visit was knowing that if my fridge acts up within the next 3 months, the labour cost of my next call out will be free, and I will only have to pay for replacement parts if needed.

Hello, First I have no confidence in on line forms, but I filled one out because I had no time to leave a voicemail. I got a call with in 10 or 15 minutes and had an appointment set for later the same day. So far so good, and it only gets better. The techs then showed up early, and proceeded to diagnose the issue with our fridge. In the process, they cleaned behind and under the fridge and only proceeded with the repair after I approved. The repair was done, they then cleaned the inside of the freezer while it was empty and returned the fridge to its location. An invoice was prepared, sent by email and paid. All in all very professional and although its only been a day we are pleased and would recommend them. As a bonus, they helped me move an object too big for me to handle alone in the garage. Great experience. Thanks.

I had an issue with my Maytag Commercial washer that is about 10-12 years old, where it wouldn’t advance to the spin cycle. I called for a service assessment and the technician, Alex, arrived the next day at the appointed time. He took one look at the washer and immediately knew what the problem was. He ran the diagnostics and explained to me what was going on with it. At the end, he outlined approximately what each part would cost, and where the total cost of parts and labor was more than I paid for it originally, I opted to not have it repaired. I asked for his opinion on the best machine to buy to replace it and he gave me some good advice. I would highly recommend this company, and Alex, to anyone who wants an honest opinion about whether an appliance is worth fixing. What I liked about this company, was that if I did decide to go ahead with a repair, that the service charge for the call and diagnostics would be waived from the final bill.

Mr. Adam called on time and was terrific from start to finish. He installed our machine, taught us things about it, and even gave us laundry pointers we should have, but did not yet know, in our 40s. This ease of service was especially striking bc I had already dealt with CAS who wouldn’t deliver or send anyone until January; then Home Depot delivered but their installers refused to hook it up bc, literally, “the location is closed on three sides.” Huh? That’s why we got the Whirlpool laundry center: it’s designed for a closet. We had had a normal-sized washer there for decades. Searching around for an installer, ARE was not only the most cost-effective, but they were also the soonest, and the person on the phone was both professional and chill—best of both worlds. They even made follow-up calls to make sure everything was good.
